Pitti Uomo is always much more than a trade show. It’s a barometer, a meeting point, a glimpse into the future.
Last week, walking through the streets and halls of Florence, we saw it all: impeccable outfits embodying the timeless elegance of the true gentleman, alongside more eccentric interpretations, unexpected combinations, and mix-and-match styles expressing individuality and creative freedom.
Alessandro Tino, Art Director of Mitchumm Industries, was also there for the usual conversations and exchanges with some of the most influential figures in the world of menswear. And through those discussions, one feeling stood out above all: after years of uncertainty and negativity, there is finally light at the end of the tunnel.
The conversation is shifting back to quality over branding, product over marketing, genuine research over fleeting trends. Most importantly, there is a growing appreciation for independent boutiques and stores with a strong identity—places that offer an experience, tell a story, and have a soul of their own. Something that, over the past few years, had unfortunately been lost along the way.
We return home inspired, full of fresh ideas, and with renewed enthusiasm for what lies ahead.
See you soon.
